  8. It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of this
  9. disk and then use the backup disk before proceding any further.

  11. Each application on this disk is contained in a separate 
  12. directory. To install the application on your hard disk we suggest
  13. you use file manager to copy the directory and its contents to
  14. your hard disk. After you have evaluated the application
  15. you may then move the files to a directory of your choice.

  17. To evaluate an application use the File Manager to
  18. select the appropriate directory. Usually there will be 
  19. documentation for the application in a README, .DOC, .TXT or
  20. .WRI file. These files should be read before running the
  21. application. If there are no such files the application
  22. should be self documenting and can be started by double clicking
  23. on the .EXE or .COM program file name from File Manager or by 
  24. using the RUN command from File or Program manager.

  26. Some applications are supplied in a self extracting archive, in these 
  27. cases when you run the supplied file you will usually see a message
  28. describing the archive contents and asking you if you want to continue.
  29. The files will be extracted into the current directory.

  31. Note that the applications contained in this disk are either Public 
  32. Domain or Shareware. You have not been charged for the software,
  33. only the media, distribution, advertising and associated 
  34. administrative costs. If the application is shareware please
  35. remember that you are obliged to register with the supplier
  36. and pay the required fee for continued use of the application
  37. after an initial trial period.
